红帽不惧强敌挑战突出重围有新招-红联Linux系统门户

　　拒绝微软“恩惠”红帽发布企业Linux5测试版

　　就在微软首席执行官史蒂夫-鲍尔默表示未来要对Red Hat公司实施“胡萝卜加大棒”政策后的第二天，Linux软件领域内的领头羊红帽公司宣布拒绝接受微软的“恩惠”，并推出了自己的企业版 Linux 5 操作系统的β2测试版本。

　　业界分析人士透露，企业Linux 5 会完整支持虚拟技术，提供集成的Xen虚拟化技术，同时提供一套用于虚拟环境的迁移、评估和规划服务。预计红帽公司将在明年年初推出企业 Linux 5的终极版。

　　根据IDC分析师Al Gillen指出， “将虚拟化技术融入到操作系统上来，对整个计算机业界的发展是一个很大的促进和发展，必将在很长的一个时期内影响到计算机硬件厂商的基础构造设计理念，比如针对虚拟化技术，在具体实践中如何采用、确保其可用性和连贯性等等。”

　　目前，红帽公司用户与合作伙伴可以从红帽公司网站下载企业 Linux 5操作系统的β2测试版本。

　　周四，微软公司首席执行官表示，微软计划与红帽公司建立一种新的关系，类似上周微软宣布与Novell的关系一样。《西雅图邮讯报》援引鲍尔默在一个SQL数据库论坛大会上的发言称，“我们将对包括红帽公司在内的所有的Linux发行商采取相同的做法。”

　　在上周微软和Novell签订的协议当中，包括了专利纠纷、虚拟环境、虚拟环境管理和侵权豁免等内容。值得注意的是，微软意识到Linux已经成为IT 架构中重要的一部分。此项与Novell公司协议目的是让消费者在使用Linux和微软的Windows软件时更加容易，这些都给红帽公司增加了新的压力。

　　红帽公司的代理辩护律师Mark Webbink表示，“我们认为微软-Novell合作协议是没有必要的或者不是出于双方自愿的，但是红帽公司将继续与微软在软件的互用性、开放标准等方面保持合作，但我们警告微软公司在开放标准方面遵守自己的承诺”。

　　红帽“搬家” 弃纳斯达克奔纽约股市
　　
　　国外媒体报道，全球第一大Linux发行商美国红帽公司将在下个月“搬家”到纽约股票交易所上市。

　　周五，红帽公司对新闻界表示，他们已经向纽约股票交易所提出了股票上市交易的申请。如果审批顺序顺利，红帽公司将在12月12日正式挂盘纽约股市，其交易代码将是RHT。

　　在此之前，红帽公司的股票仍将在纳斯达克股市交易，交易代码是RHAT。

　　红帽公司首席财务官查理?彼德斯在一份声明中表示，在纽约股票交易所上市将会增加红帽公司面向投资者的曝光率，减少股票交易的波动性，并提供更加高效的股价机制。

　　红帽公司是在1999年8月份在纳斯达克股市上市的，目前市值已经达到了32亿美元。

　　值得一提的是，红帽公司从上月底以来经历了一个“多事之秋”。首先，全球最大的应用软件厂商甲骨文公司宣布，将以红帽一半的价格向红帽Linux用户提供技术支持，随后，红帽公司股价出现暴跌，而除了表示这是对红帽Linux领导地位的承认之外，该公司并未宣布相应的降价措施。

　　此外，微软公司宣布和红帽的竞争对手Novell公司合作，在企业虚拟化领域Windows和SUSE Linux将相互支持，Novell公司还从合作中获得了三亿多美元的回报。
