在Windows 上运行PHP不再是逆喻。
Microsoft资助一个与PHP的vendor Zend 的联合项目，来确保PHP在on Microsoft's server 平台上的正常工作。
"我们宣布一个协定，来确保PHP在Windows Server 平台上正常工作," Zend的创建人之一告诉internetnews.com. "PHP 在Windows一直工作不正常，有许多可靠性的问题要解决。"
Zend和微软一起做了许多技术上的改进，其中包括在Microsoft's Internet Information Services (IIS)加一个FastCGI FastCGI 组件, 以作为IIS 和 PHP的接口。
"过去， Zend自己做一个FastCGI plug-in 到IIS中," Gutmans说，" 但是Microsoft很重视这个工作，决定让他们的IIS 小组来开发。“
Zend 还将继续改进 PHP,使之更稳定并提高在Windows Server 平台上的性能。 Zend's的改进将以PHP license贡献给开源社区。
