赛门铁克携手红旗共推Linux存储解决方案-红联Linux系统门户

　　10月31日，记者获悉，赛门铁克推出基于红旗Linux系统的Storage Foundation 4.1 MP3产品。这是中国第一个面向数据中心的集成Linux存储解决方案，体现了赛门铁克对于国内企业级用户的郑重承诺。通过部署Storage Foundation解决方案，红旗软件的用户可以在业界领先的存储件方案上实现标准化，从而改善其复杂的异构数据中心性能和可用性。

　　赛门铁克公司副总裁兼大中国区总裁郭尊华先生说道：“红旗软件与赛门铁克的合作始于2004年，这一次强强联合进一步加深了红旗软件与赛门铁克双方的长期合作关系，我们对本地市场更多的共同发展而感欣慰。部署赛门铁克与红旗软件联手提供的集成方案，客户可以充分体验可靠的存储软件带来的优势，更好地管理关键信息，同时保证商业利益。”

　　当今的企业需要一套更广泛的方案来保护基础架构、信息和交互。赛门铁克重新构建了其业界领先的Storage Foundation方案，率先帮助IT企业实现跨整个数据中心、主要操作系统和存储硬件平台的应用和存储资源纵览，获取管理存储环境的主动权。

　　Storage Foundation不仅可以作为独立方案提供给红旗软件的客户，更可与红旗Linux Datacenter Expert 5.0产品捆绑销售。作为双方合作协议的一部分，赛门铁克与红旗软件还将携手进行Linux系统平台的销售、推广和技术支持，并通过赛门铁克中国研发中心开展相关项目的合作。中国领先的IT分析机构----计世资讯(CCW Research)在2006年3月发布的最新《中国Linux市场份额报告》显示，红旗软件产品在中国国内Linux软件市场的份额达到32.1%(不包括国外OEM)，位列国内Linux市场首位。

　　赛门铁克公司高级总监兼中国研发中心(CDC)总经理许明先生说到：“2005年8月，赛门铁克NetBackup和Backup Exec产品在红旗服务器操作系统上获得认证。此后，双方开始了在Linux平台的合作，为国内企业开发创新的解决方案。Storage Foundation 4.1 MP3产品的推出再次印证了赛门铁克为数据中心提供跨平台解决方案的承诺，帮助用户在异构环境下建立统一的软件基础架构，实现标准化。”
