请各位帮帮忙了，关于安装显卡驱动的问题

我是昨天安装的Ubuntu 7.10 ，然后想安装显卡驱动，网上有个和我的情况类似的，所以我就借鉴了，因为我对linux认知度几乎为0， 我是这么做的，请各位看看我的问题出在了哪里，谢谢大家了啊。
我已经下载了我的驱动对应的版本的显卡驱动.run格式的，然后我把它复制到/tmp的目录下，然后在终端输入 sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop,然后屏幕变成了黑的，我按ctrl+alt+F1 输入了用户名和密码以后，执行这个命令cd /tmp,然后 sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-169.09-pkg1.run,再次输入密码以后开始安装，我回车Accept驱动的安装协议，然后就出现了一下的文字。

我选择Yes以后继续提示错误，

安装提示失败了，我不知道为什么，请大家帮帮我啊。谢谢大家了。
