XPDE is a Desktop Enviroment born to make Linux looks like Win Xp To be able to use it, create in your HOME DIRECTORY a file called .xinitrc , then push in it that line: /usr/share/xpde/bin/startxpde Log out than log in to use the new Desktop. To restore your session simple delete or rename .xinitrc file
