2.添加安装cadence所需要的软件
使用的软件是Totem.
系统默认安装的Totem(电影播放机)是不能正常播放rmvb文件的，我的机器是只有声音没有图像。
在网上找了一个方法，主要是安装一些解码器。（以下是安装方法，以备以后还会用到）
Ubuntu 7.04自带的电影播放器totem是无法播放rmvb文件的，不幸的是，rmvb文件是网络上下载电影的主流格式。
如果第一次用自带的totem打开rmvb文件，在无法打开文件的同时会提示寻找插件，但安装后，totem是只有声音没有图像。
使用linux的一个好处就是，google的使用率明显增加了，经过搜索ubuntu中文论坛并总结，解决如下：
1、在新立得软件管理中搜索totem，卸载系统自带的totem播放器。
2、安装gstreamer的解码器。
sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.10-pitfdll gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse
3、安装xine及解码器。
sudo apt-get install libxine-extracodecs totem-xine ffmpeg lame faad sox mjpegtools libxine-main1
4、安装w32codecs。
sudo apt-get install w32codecs
如果显示找不到，说明7.04的源里面还没有，到下面的地址下载安装：
http://www.debian-multimedia.org/pool/main/w/w32codecs/
选择w32codecs_20061022-0.0_i386.deb 就可以自动安装了。
5、至此，totem可以播放rmvb了。但不幸的是，有了图像，没有了声音。
6、再次google，解决办法如下：
编辑 ~/.xine/catalog.cache文件：
sudo gedit ~/.xine/catalog.cache
找到：
[/usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.4/xineplug_decode_real_audio.so]
把 decoder_priority 后面的数字修改为 10
保存退出。（skid）
PS:Totem播放视频文件很卡，不仅是rmvb。

添加源的方法
系统、系统管理、新立得软件包管理、设置、软件库、添加、自定义、把相关的源添加进去（要一个一个的添加）
二、添加安装cadence所需要的软件
1、安装rar
http://www.rarsoft.com/download.htm
# cp rar_static /usr/bin/rar
2、安装tar(必须是tar-1.14，其它版本不行）
http://ftp.ntu.edu.tw/pub/gnu/gnu/tar/
下载完tar-1.14后解压
通过新立得软件包管理添加tar依赖的软件
Bash, Binutils, Coreutils, Diffutils, GCC, Gettext, Glibc, Grep, Make, Sed.gawk,mawk
进入tar的文件夹，运行如下指令
（1）./configure --prefix=/usr --bindir=/bin \
--libexecdir=/usr/sbin
（2）make
（3）make check
（4）make install
3、有时需要装显卡驱动,如果不能启动x-windows（在命令相提示模式下运行startx)
4、装jave程序
＃apt-get install sun-java6-jre（时间有点慢）
5、安装portmap
＃apt-get install portmap
6、安装 C shell（看在bin目录下有没有csh这个文件）
$ sudo apt-get install csh

7、安装glibc
＄sudo apt-get install libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2
三、安装cadence
1、下载cadence

2、解压cadence后，加载cadence
使用mount指令加载
$sudo mount -t iso9660 cadence光盘1所在目录/cds1.iso 加载到的目录
$sudo mount -t iso9660 cadence光盘1所在目录/cds2.iso 加载到的目录
3、安装过程
（1）运行光盘1下载的SETUP.SH
进入光盘1的加载目录，使用指令
$sudo ./SETUP.SH
（2）输入安装目录
（3）提示是否运行softload时退出，修改相关文件
进入安装目录，再依次进入，install、bin.lnx86
修改io_fltr.c
在68行将“bin/zcat"改成"/bin/uncompress -c"
在54行添加#define lnx86
在33行添加＃include
#include
修改process_file.c 文件
将511行中的1280改成10000
修改vld文件
删除424行与425行的＋2 和-3
编译io_fltr.c和process_file.c文件
gcc -o io_fltr io_fltr.c
gcc -o process_file process_file.c
（4）运行./softload(必须在bin.lnx86目录下）
$sudo ./softload
（6）步骤中相关选择
1 load available products
1 local
2 other
n don't view readme file
4 cadence catalog
a all of the above
2 list installed products
3 linux operating system(lnx86)
q
(7)将光盘1 中的cadenceic5.dat 复制到 安装目录/share/license 并改名为licenseic5.dat(也可不改）
(8) 跟tools.lnx86弄个链接文件
$sudo ln -s tools.lnx86 tools
（9）设置环境变量
使用指令 $sudo nautilus 进入根用户 界面，进入/etc,打开environment文件，在其中添加
CDSDIR="安装目录"
CDS_ROOT="安装目录"
CDS_INST_DIR="安装目录"
CDS_LIC_FILE=”许可文件的路径（包括许可文件本身）”
LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=“2.3.6”（glibc的版本）
LD_PRELOAD=“/usr/lib/libcwait.so”
LANG=“POSIX”（它会使的中文输入法不能用，你可以使用$sudo export LANG=zh_CN.UTF-8改回来,因为cadence不支持中文输入）
PATH=“＄PAHT：安装目录/tools/bin:安装目录/tools/dfII/bin:安装目录/tools/spectre/bin:/安装目录/tools／plot/bin”
（10）将 安装目录 /tools/dfII/sample/local 复制到 /tools/dfII/local 并且将其中的cdsinit改名为.cdsinit(前面有一个点，表示隐藏文件）
（11）配置glibc
$sudo apt-get install libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2(使glibc完全安装）
进入/usr/lib
$sudo ln -sf libstdc++-3-libc6.2-2-2.10.0.so libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2
在新建一个libcwait.c 文件

四、重新启动
五、运行icfb＆与icca＆就可以进入cadence（其中icfb与icca后面的＆表示后台运行，后台运行时可以继续输入指令，运行其它程序，而前台运行则不行）
