Ubuntu 7.10 is out there for you to download!
我在大三的时候，通过Ubuntu的shipit 网站定了5张6.10的CD盘，第一次用上了Linux的LiveCD，至今那种新鲜感还没有褪去。几个同学也因此和Ubuntu有了亲密接触！
上周，不知道为什么，和一位新认识的研究生同学提起了Ubuntu，并且介绍了预订CD的方法，相信他已经订了几张-我就不订了，希望下载之后自己刻盘。
7.10的发行注记说明了从7.04开始的新特性，把GNOME2.20、3D桌面、桌面搜索放在了前三位！
Linux的两大桌面系统中，KDE是比较符合Windows用户的习惯的，也具有一些特色的应用，比如在Fedora Core 7下有那种淡入淡出的显示效果,另外我也挺喜欢KDE下的一些小软件；但是总体而言，我还是喜欢用GNOME桌面。
3D Screen是我一直期待的，没有试过-即便是我用上Compaq之后（系统是Vista Basic）！希望可以看到3D效果哦，因为根据官方说明，只要机子的硬件跟的上，3D效果自动启动：
Compiz Fusion is enabled by default and will bring 3D desktop visual effects that improve the usability and visual appeal of the system. Ubuntu 7.10 automatically detects whether the hardware is capable of running compiz; if not, it falls back to normal desktop. Additional effects can be enabled in “System/Preferences/Appearance” under the “Visual Effects” tab. There you can also disable the effects entirely.
希望能够真正喜欢上Ubuntu。
