Dropbox 2.8 发布，此版本更新内容如下:
- Prompt to selective sync in the setupwizard for large Dropboxes.
- Auto sign-in installers for Windows and Mac OS X.
- Notification when your hard disk is full.
- New icons in the tray popup.
与此同时，还发布了 Dropbox Experimental Build v2.9.41，Dropbox 2.9 系列将会实现的新特性有：
- Streaming sync.
- Scrollable tray pop-up.
- Improved initial sync performance.
- New languages: Danish, Dutch, Swedish, Thai, & Ukrainian.
- Over quota splash screen.

Dropbox 为你提供跨平台的文件在线存储、同步及分享解决方案。目前用户可以获得 2G 存储容量空间。Linux 平台要求 GTK 2.12、GLib 2.14、Nautilus 2.16、Libnotify 0.4.4、Wget 1.10 等包（或这些包的更高版本）。
Dropbox ”在 Linux 下的表现是一个 Nautilus plug-in，在你的主目录下生成一个虚拟目录，把需要同步上传的东西往里放就 OK 了”，很是方便。
当前，Dropbox 提供有 RPM、DEB、及源代码，可从 Dropbox 官方网站下载。
