Porteus 3.0 发布，此版本更新内容如下：
replaced Porteus package manager with a new version (GUI and CLI, CLI si called 'usm');
we no longer need to maintain a Porteus module repository and the new version will pull slackware package across 5 repositories and convert to modules;
upgraded kernel to linux 3.13.6; PXE server - added support for random IP from private pool when nothing is defined;
configured logrotate to rotate system logs once they reach 500KB in size;
upgraded to KDE 4.12.3; fixed mounting of NTFS-formatted external drivers;
upgraded to MATE 1.7.1....
Porteus是一份快捷的、便于携带的、模块化的自启动运行光盘及USB介质发行，它基于Slackware Linux。该发行始于一份Slax的社区改造版本（另一份基于Slackware的自启动光盘，但已不再维护），以KDE 3作为i486版本的缺省桌面，并以裁减过的KDE 4作为x86_64版本的桌面环境。此外还提供轻量级的LXDE可作为替代桌面环境。
