GarageGames CEO Eric Preisz宣布在MIT许可证下开源3D游戏引擎Torque 3D。Torque 3D引擎最早被用于开发了2001年的科幻FPS游戏《部落2》，采用该引擎的商业游戏还有Blockland、Marble Blast Gold、Minions of Mirth、TubeTwist、Ultimate Duck Hunting、Wildlife Tycoon: Venture Africa, ThinkTanks、The Destiny of Zorro、Penny Arcade Adventures，以及独立游戏S.P.A.Z.和Frozen Synapse。
