请问高手,为什么进不了? 我在Windows XP下用vmware从硬盘安装Redflag Desktop5.0.硬盘上有C.D.E.F盘,用PQMagic8.0从F盘分出2G的swap分区和8G的Ext3分区,安装时在Ext3上设置挂载点"/",引导程序安装在MBR上.安装结束后在虚拟机中能正常进入linux并使用,但重启机器后出现GRUB画面,选择linux后却出错,进不了linux.请问这是为什么?
出错信息如下:
BIG FAT WARNING!!Failed to translate the device name into a device id.
If you wangt to use the current suspend image,reboot and try again with the same kernel that you suspended from .If you want to forget that image .continute and the image will be erased .Press SPACE to reboot or C to continue booting with this kernel.

是1024柱面问题,已解决.谢谢大家了.我还是把我的喜悦与大家分享.
第一种方案:GRUB在MBR,把BOOT弄到1024柱面之前并且在C:\之后就可以启动计算机了.
第二种方案:GRUB在/分区,把/分区的BS=1 COUNT=1 DD到一个文件中,如BOOTGRUB.LNX中,再修改XP的BOOT.INI文件也是可以畅通无阻的启动计算机。

谢谢您的帮助，果然是网络问题，VMWARE装成的虚拟网卡配置都删了之后，让它自动检测就可以了（包括本地和拨号的连接）现在可以上网了，但是第一个障碍

装xp很顺利，一切正常，装LINUX，安装完成重新启动后，未响应，就强行重启了一次，它说我的电脑closed uncleanly，然后就磁盘检查，一系列的OK以后，来到了这一句：

后面有个光标提示符在闪，但是我不知道应该输些什么。
在baidu和 google上都找了几次，仍然没有解决问题。
