Position: Software Development Leader or developer on mainframe UNIX (Beijing)
IBM China Systems & Technology Lab is seeking outstanding software engineers to join the System z Software Development organization responsible for design, code development and test of System z software products. This team is an integral part of the STG System z global team and these are technically challenging and high growth opportunities. In addition, Greater China is a major contributor for Mainframe revenue and new footprints in the growth markets and our technical team will support this continued strategy.
Skills required:
- Good cross culture/style communication skills with English for both spoken and written
- Good sense to evaluate potential risks and take necessary precautions
- Skilled in working on different tasks concurrently
- Good time management skills
- Comfortable to work with external teams worldwide
- Comfortable to work under pressure including but not limited to deliver schedules and technical issues
- Solid skills in Unix/Linux and C languages, especially for I/O operations and memory allocation
- Strong skills in software developing, testing, debugging, issue analysis and performance tuning
- Good Level 3 support sense and skills for customers locally and worldwide
- Demonstrated team leadership in R&D organization in multi-national company is a plus
