PCI Express 4.0 将加速平板电脑

PCI Express 4.0 的设计之始终，都考虑到了平板电脑这一未来火热的市场，据其标准设置组织PCI专家组（PCI Special Interest Group）介绍。PCI Express 4.0 总线也会应用到PC、服务器以及嵌入式设备上。PCIe 4.0，将使铜线上的数据传输速度上升到16GT/s（16 gigatransfers per second ）。这是于2010年年底完成，才刚刚投入市场的 PCIe 3.0 速度的两倍。

The PCI-Express 4.0 bus will also go into PCs, servers and embedded devices. PCIe 4.0, will transfer data at up to 16 gigatransfers per second over copper wire. That is twice the speed of PCIe 3.0, which was finalized in late 2010 and is just reaching products.
