Job description:

Provide technical support for Marvell highly integrated wireless SoC on embedded/mobile/enterprise devices. Supporting scope includes China domestic customers and APAC/worldwide customers.

Responsibility:
1.
Support WiFi/Bluetooth firmware/driver/application issues on embedded/mobile/enterprise devices;
2.
Support WiFi/Bluetooth Linux driver/Android framework/application porting onto different embedded/mobile/enterprise platforms;
3.
Debugging and performance tuning remotely or onsite as needed.

Qualification:

1.
MS in EE, CE, CS or equivalent is required;
2.
Good knowledge of 802.11 and Bluetooth protocol/spec;
3.
2+ years of Linux device driver development on embedded/mobile/enterprise platforms is required;
4.
WiFi/BT driver development/integration experience is a great plus;
5.
Strong C/C++/Java programming skills;
6.
Working experience with Android is preferred;
7.
Good communication skills in both Mandarin and English.

Qualifications

Job Description

Application engineer for supporting customer application on BSP/Driver/Android integration layer. The candidate must
have Minimum BSEE/MSEE with 3+ years experience in application engineering or software engineering in smart phone industry or embedded area. Shall have experience in Linux BSP/Android HAL software development for Marvell application/communication processor or ARM processor. Knowledge in Windows Mobile, Windows CE or hardware will be a plus as well as multimedia and application software.

In this position, the candidate will be working on customer support mostly on Android/BSP/driver layer for
Marvell application or communication processors. The responsibility will include but not limited to

- Support customer applications in a timely manner by phone/email/online and possibly onsite.
- Customer board bring up and driver debug support
- Provide workaround or isolate problem then escalate to developer team
- Provide proper communication with customer on daily basis
- Get customer feedback on product feature include hardware and software
- support international and domestic customers

Qualifications
- Motivation of working closely with customers and internal developer team
- Pay attention to details on customer issue debugging/reproducing/solving.
- Interested in new technology trend
- Excellent communication skills
- Good Chinese and English reading/writing/speaking
- Willing to travel when demanded
- Strong ASM*, C, C++ programming and C-coding skills
- Linux BSP and/or Android HAL development debug experience.

Additional qualifications include:
- Experience in ARM-Linux* drivers developing or Windows Mobile, Windows CE BSP development is a plus
- Knowledge of Marvell application/communication processor, or other ARM* architecture processors
- Knowledge of embedded systems
- Knowledge of embedded operating system (OS) architecture

R&D DESIGN VERIFICATION ENGINEER


Looking for an exciting Research & Development job validating and designing hardware for real electronic products?
Marvell Semiconductor’s Imaging Solutions Division is developing imaging and printing hardware systems for industry leading clients.
This engineer will experience product development from concept to mass production, working closely with the customer, third parties, and the global, world-class Marvell Semiconductor design team.
This position will include opportunities for travel and/or training abroad.

Principal Activities:

•Verification of board-level and ASIC hardware designs using environmental stress testing
•Creation of embedded software to exercise the hardware under test
•Development of the hardware and software of the test system
•Analysis of test data and troubleshooting failures
•Working with the hardware and embedded software teams to build quality into the product design

This engineer can handle a broad set of computer and electrical engineering assignments including firmware and software design, and the verification, test and debug of digital and analog circuits.
She/he must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. She/he must be able to work independently and tackle challenging tasks but also enjoy a team environment and have strong interpersonal skills. Good analytical problem solving skills are required with a quick and creative mind. Ability to provide technical leadership is strongly desired.

Minimum Set of Requirements:

•M.S./B.S. or Equivalent in Electrical or Computer Engineering
•Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in hardware/embedded software development and design.
•Strong knowledge of computer architecture and experience with electrical circuit design.
•Experience with C Programming
•Experience with assembly level programming
•Experience with Embedded Software Development environments including troubleshooting with logic analyzers and digital scopes.
•Strong English language communication skills.

FIRMWARE ENGINEER - DESCRIPTION

Marvell Semiconductor’s Hardcopy Systems Lab is an exciting, fast-paced environment where we design and develop firmware, software, electronics, and semiconductors for consumer products.
This engineer will experience product development from concept to mass production, working closely with the customer, third parties, and the global, world-class Marvell Semiconductor design team.
This position will include opportunities for travel and/or training abroad.

Principal Activities and skill requirements:
This person will develop industry leading, optimized firmware solutions for imaging products, including inkjet systems.

Must have very strong programming and debugging skills and understand microprocessor architectures, hardware interfaces, and I/O. Requires working knowledge of hardware description language such as Verilog or VHDL as well as experience debugging code in real-time systems using oscilloscopes, logic and protocol analyzers.
Experience writing code to control mechanism and/or servo/motors and position control is preferred.

Also requires strong communication skills, self motivation, and the ability to work in a team environment. Responsibilities include all phases of development including planning, design, implementation, test, qualification, and release. The successful candidate will work as part of a global team to deliver world-class solutions. May require some travel and interfacing directly with customers


Minimum Set of Requirements:
BS EE, CE, CS or equivalent with honors
Course work showing mastery of C/C++, Perl, etc.
Strongly Preferred:
MS EE, CE, CS or equivalent with an outstanding GPA.
Project work that involved complex firmware development.
Strong references from University faculty.
Strong English language communication skills and Microsoft Office tools.
