Job Description
Application engineer for supporting customer application on BSP/Driver/Android integration layer. The candidate must have Minimum BSEE/MSEE with 2+ years experience in application engineering or software engineering in smart phone industry or embedded area. Shall have experience in Linux BSP/Android HAL software development for Marvell application/communication processor or ARM processor. Knowledge in Windows Mobile, Windows CE or hardware will be a plus as well as multimedia and application software.
In this position, the candidate will be working on customer support mostly on Android/BSP/driver layer for Marvell application or communication processors.
His responsibility will include but not limited to
Support customer applications in a timely manner by phone/email/online and possibly onsite.
Customer board bring up and driver debug support
Provide workaround or isolate problem then escalate to developer team
Provide proper communication with customer on daily basis
Get customer feedback on product feature include hardware and software
support international and domestic customers
Qualifications
Minimum BSEE/MSEE with 2+ years experience in application engineering or software engineering in smart phone or embedded area. Shall have experience in Linux BSP and Android HAL layer software development/integration on Marvell application/communication processor or ARM processor. Knowledge in Windows Mobile, Windows CE or hardware will be a plus as well as multimedia and application software.
Motivation of working closely with customers and internal developer team
Pay attention to details on customer issue debugging/reproducing/solving.
Interested in new technology trend
Excellent communication skills
Good Chinese and English reading/writing/speaking
Willing to travel when demanded
Strong ASM*, C, C++ programming and C-coding skills
Linux BSP and/or Android HAL development debug experience.
Additional qualifications include:
Experience in ARM-Linux* drivers developing or Windows Mobile, Windows CE BSP development is a plus
Knowledge of Marvell application/communication processor, or other ARM* architecture processors
Knowledge of embedded systems
Knowledge of embedded operating system (OS) architecture
Knowledge in hardware and/or application software would be an added advantage
