Job title: Senior Linux Platform Test Engineer
Job location: ZhangJiang, Shanghai

Organization introduction:
Multimedia Application Division (MAD) is a business unit under Freescale’s Networking and Multimedia Group (NMG). MAD’s product covers two lines from Digital Audio Radio DSP, Multimedia Processor. MAD’s customers spread all over the world, and many of them are key players in relevant industry in the world.

MAD Test Team will support WinCE Platform, Linux Platform test on various hardware platforms.

Scope of Responsibilities:
• Create Linux platform test plan, test specifications and test cases.
• Create test applications or tools to test BSP drivers or Codec.
• Define test process and methodology to make sure the quality of platform releases.
• Join in test cycles and execute test cases.

Specific Knowledge/Skills:
• BS EE/CS with 4+ years or MS EE/CS with 2+ years software development or software testing experience;
• Rich Experience in C/C++ programming;
• Rich Experience in Script such as Shell/Perl/Python programming;
• Rich Experience on Linux BSP development or test;
• Good concept and analysis capability to Linux system such as Ubuntu/Android/Chrome;
• Deep understanding of video/audio/image technology is desired;
• Good English verbal and written communication skills;
• Passion to work as a professional software testing engineer, with initiative, innovative spirit;
• Able to co-operate vendor team work activities is a plus.
• Good understanding to test methodology, test cycle, process is a plus.


Job title: Android Engineer
Job location: ZhangJiang, Shanghai
Position
This role will be member of our Android development team in Shanghai and will join the global Android/Linux development on i.MX SoC platforms.
Responsibilities
• Porting Android to new Freescale i.MX SoC chip/board
• Upgrade i.MX Android to latest Android version and kernel version
• Extend Android on i.MX via new feature development (e.g. add “dual display”, enable Wifi tethering)
• Performance tuning on system level (e.g. graphic UI response time, USB mass storage access)
• Customer support via Q&A, conference call and on-site visiting


Requirements
1. BSCS, BSEE, or equivalent
2. 3+ years of experience in embedded Linux kernel/middleware development is a must
3. Familiar with Linux kernel driver development model
4. Proven C/C++ skill
5. Android framework porting/tuning on ARM based SoC will be a good plus
6. Familiar with git operation
7. Expertise in one of the following domains will be a good plus:
• USB protocol and linux driver implementation
• Wifi module driver and middleware (e.g. WPA supplicant)
• OpenGL/ES API/library and reference implementation on various GPU
• Telephony (CS/PS call, interaction between application CPU and modem)
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
