Job Title: Senior DSP Engineer
Department: Audio and Embedded Infotainment
Essential Responsibilities:


• Port application ready DSP software to a different vendor’s DSP (floating point to fixed point applications and vice versa - target vendor is ADI).

• Integrate application ready algorithms into a customer application design. Following the Automotive’s product development process and quality control processes.

• Architect an audio processing environment for a selected DSP processor to support the audio processing tasks. Estimate DSP MIPS and memory usage for various possible audio processing configurations. Estimate feasibility of introducing various algorithms to a given DSP design.

• Develop control and interface software for DSP algorithms. Control and interface software are C applications executed on a main control processor.

• Develop PC support applications for configuration of DSP control and interface software





Basic Qualifications:

1. REQUIRED Specific Knowledge, Expertise, Coursework
• DSP programming experience in “C” or assembly

2. REQUIRED Degree and/or Training, including specifically defined educational equivalent
• BSEE, BSCE, BS Mathematics, or advanced degree in Signal Processing (or industry experience)
• Matlab experience
• Experience using basic electronic instruments (oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.)

3. REQUIRED Certifications/Licenses
• none

4. REQUIRED Specific Prior Experiences
• At least 5 years experience developing DSP software
• At least 3 years experience embedded software
• At least 3 years experience writing software in C or C++

5. REQUIRED Physical Demands
• Able to travel to foreign countries.

• Preferred experience with ADI SHARC, Blackfin, Sigma
• Preferred experience with V850 microcontrollers
• Preferred work experience in automotive product development
• Preferred skills in basic electrical hardware troubleshooting
• Preferred skills in software project management
