QA Engineer for Software Maintenance
Job Purpose:
Novell is known for delivering high-quality software updates for our enterprise-level products.
To support our Quality Assurance team we are looking for a QA Engineer for Software Maintenance. In this role you are responsible for maintaining reference test systems and participating together with software developers on testing software updates for a number of hardware architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
testing software updates on supported hardware architectures
maintenance of reference test systems
related documentation tasks
design, development and maintenance of automated and manual tests
Candidate Profile:
good knowledge of the Linux operating system (experience in Linux system administration or system programming is mandatory)
experience in the area of quality assurance/testing
programming skills in scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python)
good command of English (both spoken and written)
involvment in Open Source projects is a plus
self-dependent but customer-driven working style
precision and accuracy
team player
