我在虚拟机VM6.5中装了一个centos5.2 更新不了，但是可以上网。
情况一：
打开添加删除程序就出现如下图中的提示
情况二：
在终端里用yum 更新或者安装任何软件都出现这样的报错
ftp://ftp3.tsinghua.edu.cn/mirror/centos/5.2/updates/i386/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 4] IOError: [Errno ftp error] timed out
Trying other mirror.
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: update. Please verify its path and try again
而且yum源我也设置过多次了，改了很多网上说的比较快的源 ，但是还是出现一样 的错误。出现这样的错误会不会是跟装在虚拟机里有关系？

网速快，并不代表CentOS的更新源就快，用的人一多就堵塞了。
我在公司是1000M光缆（其实只能用100M），CentOS更新的时候照样慢

我联网是没有问题的， 用火狐可以正常上网且网速不慢

试试看安装plugin -> fastestmirror
