Apologize for taking so long to get the package ready. I have been quite
busy in the past couple of weeks. But anyway, the promised 0.8.38 is finally
there (almost). You can find the fresh package at this link:

This link is for testers, if the feedback turns out ok, I will move it
to sourceforge FRS and you can get the permanent link from
there.

A few more words about this release. There has been some significant
changes compared to the previous release, 0.6.23. Now the font format was
changed from TTF to TTC. Zenhei is now packed with two font faces within
the ttc file: WenQuanYi Zen Hei and WenQuanYi Zen Hei Mono.
The first one is a Sans proportional font, and the second one is a
monospaced sans.
Another change is the unification of all the Hanzi radicals. This cost a lot
of debugs and I hope it worths it.

For packagers, I also urge you to give a test on the fontconfig setting
script "zenheiset". It has 3 options, "zenheiset aa" will disable all
bitmaps, "zenheiset bitmap" will use all bitmaps except the
experimental 13px bitmaps; and "zenheiset bitmapfull" will enable
all bitmaps. It is recommended to install this script to /usr/bin
and *.conf to /etc/fonts/conf.avail
