通过yum安装的mplayer无法播放mkv和avi格式？

我用的是fedora10，安装了RPM fusion源，然后通过yum安装上了mplayer，然后从mplayer网站下载了all-2007和windows-all-200707编码包放到了/user/lib/codecs下面，在终端输入mplayer *.rmvb可以正常播放rmvb rm flv文件，但就是播放不了mkv和avi，错误显示：信号被中断而已，请问是怎么回事，通过这种方式安装的，怎样建立其启动器？我找不到gmplayer在哪里,以前用./configure make make install安装的就可以用gmplayer，请问怎么回事？
