Software Engineer - SLETC (Suse Linux Enterprise Thin Client)

Linux Software Developer ( Thin Client)

Developed and backed by Novell, and delivered through our partners, SLETC offers market-leading security, flexibility, and manageability, all at a fraction of the price of thick computing and proprietary platforms. It offers the full set of packages available in SLED (Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop), allowing customers to tailor their thin client deployment to the needs of their business. SLETC will increase data security, reduce costs and dramatically improve manageability. As a member of this team, you will co-work with different engineers from different countries to resolve kinds of issues and bugs, including device driver, kernel, filesystem, Xwindow, Gnome, etc. So a willingness to learn and ask questions, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to focus on problem resolution are required. Also as this is a global team, good communication both in Mandarin and English is desirable.

Required Skills:
BS degree in CS/EE and 2+ years related work experience
Experience developing in C, Bash Shell script
Familiar with Linux OS: bootloader(Grub, Lilo, etc), kernel, filesystem and device driver development
Good Communication; Fluent in oral and writing English

Preferred Skills (Optional, but preferred):
ASM, C++,
Perl, Python
Glade, GTK, GNOME
Xwindow
KIWI
