1. SUSE Cloud Engineer - HA Integration
Job Description
We are seeking software engineers to develop and maintain exciting new open source Cloud related solutions. The engineers will work closely with upstream projects in a global environment, to create enterprise grade private Cloud Computing solutions based on Linux and OpenStack.
Core responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain projects related to our SUSE Cloud product especially in the area of High Availability.
* Review code written internally by other team members, as well as those externally by other open source contributors.
* Represent SUSE and work upstream with open source projects.
* Be the internal domain expert on these projects/technologies.
Required skills:
* Excellent experience in software development, specifically on Linux systems.
* Good programming skills in Ruby or Python.
* Knowledge of HA technologies.
* Hands on experience with virtualisation technologies in Linux
* Ability to write high quality code that is backed by tests.
* Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong communication ability through presentations, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills (emails, IRC) in English.
Desired skills:
* Experience with software development in agile projects/teams.
* Experience and active participation in open source communities/projects.

4. SUSE Linux Enterprise - Java JVM Developer
Job Description
For our Java offering on SUSE Linux Enterprise, we are looking for a developer familiar with Java internals. The primary focus is on the Virtual Machine itself, as well as the tools.
In this role, you will help us establish OpenJDK as a supported component of SUSE Linux Enterprise. You will work with a global team of Linux Experts inside SUSE R&D to deliver an Enterprise grade Java offering. Involvement in and close collaboration with the upstream OpenJDK community are an integral part of your assignment.
Expected skills:
- You have a strong experience with Java in general, and the Java VM in particular
- You are a self-reliant developer with a keen sense of responsibility
- You are experienced in working with an Open Source project, and contributing to it

Job Description
We are looking for a Linux Kernel Developer for our Virtualization solutions in SUSE Linux Enterprise and openSUSE.
In this role you will work with our global team of virtualization experts on a broad range of kernel topics related to virtualization in general. A solid understanding of the Linux kernel and the x86-64 hardware architecture are essential for this position. Being familiar with virtualization concepts on the Intel/AMD platform is helpful, but not a must.

In this role, you will work with a team of seasoned Linux experts on modernizing and maintaining the base of SUSE Linux Enterprise products. Being familiar with systemd is a strong plus.
