i really don't know to say ATI's driver for Linux. it's not better.

not only it is not follow the Linux's step, but also it always has some problems installing.

when compling kernel, it must be selected for option of "Enable deprecated pci_find_* API (PCI_LEGACY)". this option locates BUS on parent directory. otherwise installing will give some error messages and failure.

My notebook is beforehand with regflag 5.0,so it has no problems with ati's drive.  but want to use other  linux editions . will it have problems wen I install other linux editions.
