As the kernel panic of Redflag linux, now i have installed ubuntu linux, it was very nice and comfortable when operating, the software was much more than redflag, the office suite and the newest firefox 3 beat 4.
the cdma wireless card was identified successfully and through simple configure, the internet was through.
the only problem was that the input of Chinese, there was no software initially in the system, maybe we need to download.

the pidgen was there in the system, so, now the qq was easily for everybody.
maybe this was one beta version, my qq can't connect.

is there any gentleman who would like to tell me where to download the chinese input software and how to setup?

经过不断的摸索，终于搞定了，步骤如下

首先： 体统－－系统管理－－网络源，把服务器改成 主服务器（默认是中国）
然后： 体统－－系统管理－－语言支持 就可以看到里面的选项了，选择中文，然后勾选上最下面的选项，确定后就会自动下载了
很方便的。
输入法巨多，什么简体繁体都有了

在“输入法引擎”中选择全局设置，然后在右侧勾选简体中文。

there was no option in ubuntu8.04, maybe because it was one beta version.
but for india, thailand, the input was there.
maybe they don't like olympic either.
